I need caffeine to function. With a 2 week old and a 14 month old, there are no exceptions to this rule. So, when I was invited to an event at Dunkin’ Donuts last week with my bloggy friend (and real life friend, Lindsay, from You Are the Roots) to sample their new fall menu, I was pretty excited…I was excited to get out of the house for an hour without the kids (one of who just learned the word “NO”), and I was excited to have the opportunity to eat, drink, and be merry with some coffee – uninterrupted 🙂

Pumpkin Spice Latte |
I recently featured on my blog my love of Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte. I thought Starbucks was the only place that made Pumpkin Spice Latte’s. I honestly had never tried many things from Dunkin’ except my beloved childhood favorite Boston Kreme donut, and my husband really enjoys their Coffee Coolatta’s. So, I was pleasantly surprised when my lips were greeted with an icy cool, delicious pumpkin-y treat as soon as I walked into the DD event. My post baby body, however, was not so happy to be partaking in this event 😉
DD also has a full menu of yumminess sure to satisfy any belly’s desire. We sampled a few amazing deli sandwiches, including roast beef on a pretzel bun (delish!), and the Angus Big and Toasted…ummm so good! My favorite of the afternoon, though, was the pumpkin spice muffin. It was so fluffy, moist and soft. (It was hard to pick if the muffin was my favorite, or the pumpkin pie donut…because that was pretty heavenly as well!)
Thankfully, we were sampling small slices of these items and not the full size, because I would have had to be rolled out of DD otherwise! The funny thing is that Lindsay and I met at our stroller workout class last year…funny, workout partners eating together at Dunkin’ Donuts…makes total sense to me 🙂 Also makes sense that after this event I am going to need to start that class again soon…but I will certainly be visiting the DD drive thru across the street from my house soon. Hey, this mama needs her coffee!

As always, thanks for reading!
Yay for Dunkin' Donuts and all things pumpkin. I really love their pumpkin coffee. 🙂
I didn't start drinking coffee until my mid-thirties – and by then my boys were 8 and 5. Looking back on it, how did I function when they were little – answer – I'm not sure I did….. I can't imagine starting the day without coffee now, even though both my boys are now out of college! Thanks for the chance to feed my habit! : )
