Fall is in full swing at our house! Between decorating, baking, and crafts we are trying to keep busy with Fall activities – even though it feels like Summer outside!

Our Fall Front Door Decor |
Yesterday we had a lazy afternoon and Little J seemed to be in the mood for a fun activity. So, I whipped up quick and easy finger paints that were also safe incase he decided to eat them…which inevitably, like most things these days, he did.
I drew a tree on the paper he was painting on to try to attempt to have him make a Fall tree…which wasn’t such a success, but he had a fun time painting nevertheless 🙂
Recipe for the paint:
Brown Sugar
Equal parts of flour, brown sugar, and cream of tartar
sprinkle in a little bit of nutmeg
a few drops of red food coloring
add water to desired consistency
Cinnamon
Equal parts of flour and cream of tartar
a few drops of red food and yellow coloring
sprinkle in approx.1tsp cinnamon
add water to desired consistency
Vanilla
Equal parts of flour and cream of tartar
a few drops of yellow food coloring
add in a few drops of vanilla extract
add water to desired consistency

As always thanks for reading! 🙂
I love this project. You can never run out of ideas to keep the kids engaged and I like doing crafts with them to keep everyone busy. Thanks for this craft idea.
