I am always looking for edible recipes of play dough and paint because, for some crazy reason, Little J must sample all of the things we play with 🙂
I created these play dough recipes recently, and they came out pretty great! The three flavors are: Vanilla Creme Pie, Chocolate Pudding Pie, and Banana Lemon Cake.
The Vanilla Creme Pie Dough and the Banana Lemon Cake Dough came from shared ingredients. I bought a box of Betty Crocker Lemon Supreme Bars, and lucky me, the box came with 2 bags of mix! One bag was for the crust and one was for the lemon filling. So, I used the bag of crust mix to make the Vanilla Creme Pie Dough and the bag of lemon filling was used to make the Banana Lemon Cake  Dough.
Vanilla Creme Pie Play Dough
1 bag of Supreme Bars Crust Mix
1/2 cup salt
1/3 cup Vanilla Greek Yogurt
1/3 cup flour
splash of vanilla extract
Mix together in a large bowl (ideally with your hands) to form a ball. Extra flour may be used for dusting.
This dough has a nice, firm texture almost like clay.
Banana Lemon Cake Dough
1 bag Supreme Bars Lemon Filling Mix
1 ripe banana
1 tsp lemon juice
1/3 cup salt
2 & 1/2 cups flour
Mix together in a large bowl (ideally with your hands) to form a ball. Extra flour may be used for dusting.
This dough has a great texture and is very moldable.
Chocolate Pudding Pie Dough
2 boxes of Jello Chocolate Instant Pudding Mix
1 cup of flour
1/2 cup salt
Mix together in a large bowl, then add 1 cup of water and form into a ball with your hands. Extra flour may be used for dusting.
This dough is a fun texture, a little sticky but very fun!
