We are ready to get into the holiday spirit! Christmas is right around the corner, and we wanted to create some very cute ornaments for our tree! Hopefully we can get our tree today, and hang these little Gingerbread Man cuties on it!
Little J had the best time making these…no baking required 🙂
Supplies you need to create the gingerbread men ornaments:
First, we folded our paper bag up and traced the gingerbread man onto the top layer. Then, we cut the shape out through all of the folded layers of the bag and ended up with four blank gingerbread men – ready to be decorated!
I taped the blank gingerbread men down to a large sheet of paper, so they would stay put for decorating. No runaway gingerbread men, please 🙂
Then, Little J got busy creating!! We used Martha Stewart squeezable glitter glue tubes which were perfect for Little J to be able to decorate the ornaments without making too much of a huge mess, while still having a super fun time! He squeezed the glitter glue all over the blank men, and the end result was really cute!
Once they were dry, I used a hole punch to make a spot to hang them with the red ribbon, added some rhinestone embellishments for buttons and eyes, drew a little mouth and added a thin border outline for some extra pizzaz!
I am really excited to see these on our tree! Since we made four of them, we will be sharing with Grandma, Nonna, and other family who will be very pleased to have their very own custom Little J ornament on their tree this year 🙂
We hope you enjoy making your very own little Gingerbread Man Christmas Ornaments, too!
