Valentine’s Day is next week, and if you are in a crunch for time to make super cute Valentine’s for your littlest loves, these Lacing Cards are quick and easy!
They would be great for your kids to help make, and hand out to their friends, too!
Supplies you need:
String (I used red and white baker’s twine)
Cellophane Bag (if you plan to give as gifts)
First, take the foam heart and punch evenly spaced holes along the border.
Then, tie on a long piece of string at either the top or bottom holes. Lace the string through the holes so it looks pretty for gift giving. I wrapped a piece of clear tape around the ends of the string to make it easier for kids to use. You could even use a shoe lace for this! š
I wrote the caption “Valentine: You have my heart on a string” in the middle of the heart.
When the child receives this heart lacing card, they will have tons of fun lacing and unlacing this cute Valentine’s card! It is more than just a Valentine, though, as it helps to build childrens’ fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination as they lace the string through the holes.
These take right under 5 minutes to make, and when packed in a clear cellophane bag, they make a great, unique gift for kids to hand out to friends at school.
