Today we are happy to be a part of the Backyard Games Series from P is for Preschooler.
We absolutely love playing outside in the backyard. Living in South Florida, the weather is nice almost all year round, so we have to get a little creative with our activities so we don’t get bored.
My sister is Little J’s favorite friend, so he is always excited to do activities with her. One of their favorite backyard games is to play in a big blow-up pool. They play with water in it, or without.
This time, they made an extra large sensory bin with all of the balls, pool diving rings, buckets, and cups they could find in the backyard.
Little J had the best time stacking cups, putting all of the balls into the buckets, and transferring items from one container to another.
This is fun to do in the backyard but would be a great activity indoors, if the weather isn’t cooperating and you can’t get outside. The possibilities of what to put inside of the big blow up pool are endless! So many different sensory pools can be made, but the bigger-than-a-toddler aspect makes it super fun for them to hop inside of it and play! 🙂

Fun idea to put the things in a pool! Somehow it makes it more fun than playing with the same things outside of the pool! (toddler mysteries…lol!)
Great idea. I would probably fill it with mud. Lol :-)<br />Thanks for linking up to the Outdoor Play Party. Hope you can join us again from tomorrow x
