This week we have been seriously Christmas-ing out over here. We put up our tree, put up some lights, exploded Christmas decor all over the house, jammed out to Pandora Christmas station, made ornaments, and some very cute Reindeer Christmas Cookies for dessert, too!
You guys, I am in love with these little critters! They’re super easy to make, and my kids loved them, too! The idea of having Christmas traditions with my kids is so exciting, and I’m sure we will be making these again-and-again, for years to come.
Reindeer Christmas Cookies
Here’s what you’ll need to recreate these deliciously adorable little reindeer Christmas cookies:
– Chocolate chip cookie dough (we used Pillsbury Chocolate Chip)
– Rold Gold Tiny Twists Pretzels
– brown and red M&M’s
To make them, bake the cookies according to the directions on the package. Or, totally feel free to bake some cookies from scratch. This was just much quicker when I had little guys waiting to make reindeer cookies!
Take the freshly baked cookies out of the oven, and let them cool to the touch. But not too much…you’ll want the cookies to still be a little bit squishy.
Also, try to resist the urge to eat all of the freshly baked cookies before they even become reindeer…admittedly, this was the hardest part for me.
Take 2 pretzel twists, and firmly press them down at the top of the cookie. They should stick into the cookie, and stay put! You now have reindeer antlers…yay!
Then, stick the 2 brown M&M’s under the the antlers, and one red M&M at the bottom for a little Rudolph nose.
That’s it! Repeat until you have as many new Reindeer Christmas Cookies as you need.
PS- you are now allowed to eat them 🙂 Enjoy!
