Over the weekend I was shopping at Walmart and was thrilled to come across an amazing demo set-up for McCafé coffee. Earlier that morning I didn’t have a chance to drink my coffee at home and the sight of freshly brewed coffee in the middle of the store was like an oasis in the desert. I grabbed a quick cup, and refrained from going back for a second cup, sadly…but it was enough to start my engine for the day!
I have a secret. It’s kind of embarrassing, but I will tell you anyway…
My nickname for the larger part of my adult life has been “Dragon” due to my behavior if I am woken up early in the morning. When I say early, I’m talking about anytime before 9am, and in my teenage years that meant before 11am. I know, I know, that sounds a little dramatic. But, I am a night owl, and have always dreaded the early morning hours.
Now that I am a mom of two little boys, I don’t have a choice about when I get up in the morning. I am happy about that, and love seeing their little faces every day when I wake up! So, I want to make sure that they have a very happy mommy and not an over-exhausted Dragon Mombie (Mom + Zombie) – and that’s where coffee comes in – to give me a little extra pep in my step!
Making my coffee at home is the easiest way to get me ready to take on the day with my two little boys. It’s fast, easy, and delicious!
I am thrilled that McCafé is now available at Walmart. It’s delicious, and made from 100% Arabica Beans, and harvested from the rich soils and mountainous regions of the foremost coffee-growing areas of the world – that’s code for: it’s good stuff! Better yet, it comes in 8 different yummy flavors (in both premium bags and coffee pods), so I’ll never get bored of the same flavor every day.
Maybe I can even sit down and enjoy a cup one of these mornings?? (A girl can dream!)
More likely though, I’ll be pouring my McCafé over ice and taking it with me.
McCafé tastes just as awesome as iced coffee, being sipped from a straw, as I drive my kids around to their various play dates and activities. The important thing is that everyone is happy in the morning…no dragons allowed 🙂

I definitely need to prep the night before so that my mornings goes smoothly in this house. From the second the boys wake up, they run down the hall and jump into my bed. This in turn wakes the baby. It's a rough start if I don't have those few moments of "me time" before the day really starts! Love how easy it is to brew McCafé as a single serve cup! Definitely helpful for
