Today is National Kahlua Day
Let’s Celebrate with a Kahlua Recipe!
Today is National Kahlua Day. It also happens to be Friday. What does that mean? TGIF! Let’s celebrate with a Kahlua recipe:
My husband has a favorite drink and it’s called a Toasted Almond.
Last November when we took a trip to NYC without the kids, we stayed at the New York Marriott Marquis. They have a really awesome restaurant and lounge on the top floor of the hotel that turns 360 degrees, aptly named The View.
We enjoyed these amazing Toasted Almond drinks as we looked out over the city. It was pretty wonderful.
To make a Toasted Almond is very simple.
Here’s what you’ll need:
1 ounce Kahlua
1 ounce Amaretto
2 ounces Cream
(The drink in the photos has the amounts above doubled)
Shake together and serve over ice.
Please enjoy these amazing little creations responsibly (after the kiddos go to bed, perhaps?)and have a very Happy National Kahlua Day!
Oh God I wish I wasn’t allergic to dairy….this sounds like HEAVEN right about now!
