My husband and I have been together for nearly 12 years. Our relationship has most certainly been through some really interesting highs and lows, and everything in between. We’ve been through the think and thin of marriage (literally – I lost nearly 100 pounds after having our kids! You can read about my weight loss journey here).
Communication has been a huge key to getting us through the rough times, and helping us thrive in the good times. Between the long hours that he works, and me being home with our two little boys all day, communication can sometimes get strained. Some days, I like to text my husband quick love text messages. Texts to my hubby are a great way let the other person know that you are thinking of them and care about them, despite the busy day that’s going on around you!
Here are some Short and Sweet text love messages that I would totally text my husband to make his day even brighter:

Love these ideas! I’m the non-romantic one in the relationship, so it’s nice to have reminders like this 🙂
Thanks, Erin! I’m glad you enjoyed them. We can all use a little reminder sometimes 🙂
LOVE these!! My hubby & I text a lot during the day (same story as you…he’s at work, I’m home with the kids!) and when I see a “just because” message from him I get the biggest smile! 🙂
Thanks, Sammy! Those are the best to get! How sweet of your husband 🙂
these are so great and positive! I often get so boggled down with things around the house all i ever text is pick up something or don’t forget to do this when you get home..etc, I’m sure James will appreciate all of these awesome sweet texts!
Thank you, Brittany. I’m happy that you enjoyed these ideas 🙂
It is so easy to get swept up in the everyday chaos. This is a great reminder to stop & be romantic – even if just for 2 minutes!
It’s the virtual equivalent of that little hand squeeze or other gentle touch.
A little tenderness goes a long way.
So true, Serendipity! 🙂
I LOVE these and need to start using them. 🙂
Great post! I love your text ideas! It is so important to be constantly reminding each other of our feelings. ESPECIALLY when you have kids….it is so easy to let all the “kid stuff” take over and forget about each other’s needs. That is why the divorce rate is so high for people in their 50s and 60s. The kids move out and all of a sudden you realize that you don’t even KNOW your spouse anymore. Keeping the love alive can be challenging during the years you raise a family. So glad to be a part of this challenge!

Lovely! My husband and I work from home so texting is only an option when one is travelling!
We don’t do this as often as we should, but I find when I do send him loving texts, it makes for a better day for all of us!
So sweet! 🙂 Strangely the only texts my husband and I’ve exchanged are super-brief and when we can’t get through on the phone. We do write poems to each other, though!
I need to send love texts much more often. Our main communication throughout the day is via text and they are usually to the point, only throwing in a love you if I’m going to bed when he’s away.
