DOVE Fruit Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies Recipe
I am a huge believer of living a balanced life. As much as I enjoy working out regularly, and maintaining an active lifestyle, I also enjoy snacking to satisfy my sweet tooth (or sweet teeth is more like it!)
One of the things I really look forward to is relaxing with my husband and indulging in some delicious treats. It’s a nice way to wind down together after a long day of taking care of the kids and working.
I recently discovered DOVE® Fruit, and was super excited to try it out. They’re an amazing combination of DOVE® whole fruit (Blueberry, Cranberry, and Cherry are available) dipped into delicious DOVE® Dark Chocolate which makes for a seriously mouth watering treat.
The benefits of dark chocolate combined with real fruit made me happy to indulge in such a wonderful snack! I decided to take our snack session to the next level this week, and I surprised my husband with a fresh batch of oatmeal cookies with Blueberry DOVE® Fruit on top!
I wish I could send everyone reading this a cookie to taste, because they came out AMAZING. As my husband and I watched TV and snacked on our delightful cookies, we just kept saying over and over “These are so good.”
Since I can’t actually send out a bunch of cookies, you can easily recreate this recipe at home to make your own heavenly DOVE® Fruit Chocolate Blueberry Oatmeal Cookies.
Here’s what you’ll need to make the cookies:
– 1 6oz. package of Blueberry DOVE® Fruit
– 3/4 cup unrefined coconut oil
– 1/2 cup light brown sugar
– 1 large egg
– 1/2 tablespoon vanilla extract
– 1 cup unbleached all-purpose flour
– 3/4 cup old-fashioned oats
– 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
– 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
To begin, preheat your oven to 325 degrees.
First, in a large bowl, mix together the coconut oil, sugars, egg, and vanilla.
Next, add in the remaining ingredients (except for the Blueberry DOVE® Fruit)
Line a baking tray with parchment paper. Roll approximately 1 inch balls of dough and place onto the parchment paper.
Press Blueberry DOVE® Fruit into each ball of dough (I used about 5-6 pieces per ball of dough).
Bake the cookies at 325 for 12-14 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool.
Enjoy with a nice cold glass of milk! YUM!
