Living here in South Florida is super fun. Generally the weather is outstanding, and there’s tons of things to do in the area. One of our favorite things to do is go to the beach. Better than that, we love taking mini-vacations to stay at the beach.
Recently, our family went to stay at Inn on the Beach in Saint Petersburg, FL. It was not too far of a drive for us, which was great for the kids! Inn on the Beach is a super cute and quaint hotel, and was perfect for our family.
When we arrived at the hotel, we were warmly greeted by the innkeeper. She kindly showed us to our room, told us about the area, and directed us to nearby restaurants since it was close to dinnertime. After dinner we witnessed the most breathtaking sunset I’ve ever witnessed. It was truly magnificent.
Inn on the Beach is footsteps away from the most gorgeous white sand beach. We had a ton of fun with our kids running up and down the shore, and splashing in the Gulf waters.
The hotel even had chairs and boogie boards that guests were free to borrow at their convenience. My kids loved this amenity! The put the chairs directly onto the edge of the water and had the best time!
Inside of our room, there was a full kitchen, which made traveling with small children a breeze. We stopped at the local grocery store to pick up essentials, and stocked our fridge. Easy peasy to be able to bring ice cold drinks to the beach directly from the fridge in our room! Inn on the Beach also offered a weekend brunch set up in their courtyard, and we did take advantage of the delicious food they had.
What I really loved about staying at Inn on the Beach is the local area. We live on the East coast of Florida, and the hotel is on the West coast (Gulf coast) of Florida. The vibe is completely different than what we are used to here. It’s super laid back and a very inviting town. The name of the town that Inn on the Beach is located in is Pass-a-Grille, which is an area local to Saint Petersburg, Florida.
There were a ton of quirky little restaurants and shops (like the one pictured below) to visit, and we loved every moment of our family getaway at Inn on the Beach!
If you’re looking for an awesome place to stay at in Florida, definitely check out Inn on the Beach. We will definitely be staying there again soon.
