Spring has officially sprung! Well, in South Florida it has felt like Spring for a while, but that’s not the point now, is it?!
I’ve been enjoying decorating our home with touches of Spring, and recently picked up supplies to make a super cute DIY Spring Wreath (well, two of them) for out front doors. These were very simple to make, and I love how they’ve added a pop of seasonal cuteness to our front porch decor.
If you’d also like to make these wreaths, or just one Spring wreath to spruce up your front door this season, then read on below for the details on how to make this:
DIY Spring Wreath – Front Door Home Decor Idea
Hot Glue Gun (optional – I didn’t end up using mine)
(I made two of the same wreath because I wanted my double front doors to each have one.)
1. First, remove all tags from your grapevine wreaths. Lay on a flat surface.
2. Remove all tags from your silk flowers, and arrange them how you think they’ll look best. Don’t attach them permanently yet, just simply finalize your pattern.
3. Next, you’ll begin individually inserting the stems of each silk spray of leaves/flowers into the grapevine wreath. Do this carefully so you don’t break the twigs. I tried to intertwine the stems with the twigs to make the sprays stay on the wreath more securely. I didn’t actually end up using the hot glue gun, and now I can re-use these wreaths for another season by simply switching out the flowers!
4. Tie on a burlap ribbon bow, and your new Spring Wreath is good to go!
Don’t forget your over the door wreath hooks to hang these beauties from, too!
I love how these Spring Wreaths turned out, and they really add a pop of Spring to the front of our home!
