I recently announced here on the blog that our family is currently in the process of moving to the Central Florida area. I’ve been in South Florida for most of my adult life, and being close to the ocean has been wonderful. I adore the beach and spending time by the water. My kids love playing by the shore and watching all of the boats go by.
House hunting for our new home has been a very long and tedious process, but one thing I knew for sure is that I wanted our family to be near water. Since we are going to be inland in Central FL, and not as close to the ocean as we are now, I decided to look for a home near a lake.
We recently found our future new home, and we are going to be moving to an area that has a lake in sight seemingly everywhere you look! I am thrilled with where our new home will be located.
Honestly, I’m so excited for a change of scenery, and of course I’m excited to decorate another house from scratch! It’s also going to be fun to be able to decorate a home that’s super close to so many lakes. It’s so beautiful and serene!

There are docks and boat launches throughout our neighborhood, and one day I hope having our own boat could be a reality. The family memories that we could have on a boat would be amazing!
