If you’ve been to Target recently (I mean, I’ve been in there at least 37 times in the past 2 weeks, but hey, who’s counting?!) you may have noticed the Beautycounter Target display. This is a limited time collection offered in everyone’s favorite big box retailer, but once it’s gone you can only purchase the products through a Beautycounter consultant.
If you’re not familiar with Beautycounter, I’ll quickly fill you in on the must-know details. They are a company that is dedicated to making “safer” beauty products. Their “Never List” is made up of over 1,500 questionable or harmful ingredients that they will never use in their products. Many have been banned in other countries, but not yet here in the United States. However, those chemicals are still a cause for concern, and therefore not used in Beautycounter products.
Beautycounter Review
A friend of mine is a Beautycounter consultant and asked if I would like to receive some of their best selling products to review. I am a major beauty product lover, so I agreed to check out Beautycounter.
The first product I tried was the Beautycounter Cleansing Balm. This product melts into your skin to hydrate while it cleanses, removing makeup and other impurities but never stripping away moisture. After I used it with the reusable muslin cloth that comes in the package, my skin felt clean and super soft. I definitely liked this product!
I also had a chance to try out the Purifying Charcoal Mask. This product is a mineral-rich mix of kaolin clay and charcoal that works to gently exfoliate, draw out impurities, and soothe. After using this mask my skin felt cleaner, softer, and a bit tighter. I liked how my skin felt after using this, for sure!
Beyond skin care, Beautycounter also offers cosmetics. I’m currently crushing on the Beautycounter Lip Gloss in “Fig” that left my lips looking fall-ready and totally sleek!
Overall, I feel like Beautycounter is a great brand of beauty products that offer a safer alternative to many other brand-name beauty products. They work well, and my skin felt great after using them!
