A few weeks ago my husband got a genius idea to build a deck in our backyard. He did lots of research on YouTube, and read all sorts of tutorials on how to accomplish this. His father gave him lots of advice, as well. His dad built an addition onto their childhood family home in New York with his own two hands, so he had a lot of helpful information to give to his son!
My husband has been hard at work on the deck, and I’m impressed with his determination. Our older two sons have also been super excited about this deck! They’ve been “helping” him throughout the process. Well, as much as a 5 and 4 year old can help!
It’s super sweet to see my boys outside with their Daddy, learning the value of hard work. I love how they’ll be able to see this project move from idea to finished product that we will be able to enjoy as a family.
It’s also interesting to see just how dirty kids can get outside! I mean, my motto has always been “dirt don’t hurt” when it comes to the kids, but they’re pushing the limit of how dirty they’re able to get in there backyard lately!
Even though it’s summer, swimming in our pool doesn’t exactly count as a bath. So, I’ve been counting on Ivory Body Wash and Ivory Bar Soap to gently cleanse these boys back to their dirt-free selves! Ivory products are made pure to give parents peace of mind. Starting with the purest bar of soap 138 years ago, Ivory continues to uphold the standard of using only pure & purposeful ingredients in its products.
My boys come out of the tub smelling amazing, and I can trust the fact that they’re using products free of heavy dyes and perfumes. It’s a pure clean trusted for generations! When you find well-made products that you can trust, you can spend more time on the things that matter most…like building a backyard deck with your sons!
(PS – My husband could benefit from a scrub-a-dub with some Ivory!) He’s been working so very hard with our boys to get the deck done, and I can’t wait to share with you how it turns out!
