We had the chance to attend Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party a few nights ago, and OH BOY (in Mickey’s voice, please) it was a blast! This is an extra ticketed event in the Magic Kingdom that runs from now through December 21, 2018. (Click here for the select dates that Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party will take place).
There’s special treats, dance parties, Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, and more! I’m going to give you some highlights of what to look for and some of my favorite things from the party. Be sure to grab a special map of what’s available at MVMCP because there’s a TON of special things to do! Much more than I can mention here!
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party 2018
When you arrive to MVMCP, you’ll be greeted into the party by your first freebie snack station just past Tony’s Town Square Restaurant on the right. You’ll be greeted with a big Mickey sugar cookie! It’s super buttery and yummy, and my kiddos ate them up in a flash.
Oh, that brings me to a very important point…you should probably come to the party hungry! There’s so many exciting food offerings that are special for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. From the Main Street Bakery serving up Holiday Mickey cinnamon rolls, to the Poutine Hot Dog and the Ugly Sweater Brownie at Casey’s Corner, and the Mickey Ornament Gingerbread Cookie at Starbucks (and SO much more) – you’re sure to leave with a very full belly.
Many of the party treats are complimentary and included in your ticket price. You can read more about the complimentary treats here.
One of my favorite things about Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is the entertainment. There’s literally a party on every corner!
A Totally Tomorrowland Christmas is a super fun show on the stage back near Space Mountain. It features Buzz Lightyear and Mike Wazowski from Monsters, Inc. plus lots of exciting dancers and music. My kids loved this show…and I did, too!
We also really liked Club Tinsel at Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe. I shared some videos from inside of Club Tinsel on my Instagram stories while we were at MVMCP, and also shared over on my Facebook page and Disney group. They play music that can get a crowd moving like the “Cha Cha Slide” and “Cotton Eyed Joe”! My kids loved it!

Mom-Tip: To be honest, my boys didn’t make it until the fireworks. The party runs late and my kids had school all day before we attended the party so they were zonked out by the time we left. If I wasn’t a local to WDW, and here in vacation, I’d definitely nap my kids before attending MVMCP to allow for them to enjoy the party a bit later! They did LOVE getting to see Cinderella castle lit up like ice!! They also loved being able to ride on rides with quick wait times, too 🙂

Special thanks to Disney for sponsoring today’s post. We received complimentary entrance into the party, but as always all opinions are my own.
