Meal Prep Tips and Tricks with Tupperware: Thank you Tupperware for sponsoring this post.
Did you see my recent Instagram and Facebook posts about me being back on the weight loss bandwagon? If you missed it, I’ll fill you in. I’ve been meaning to get all of the weight off that I gained during my youngest son’s pregnancy. He just turned two, and I am still fighting the weight loss battle. This is new to me. If you’ve been reading my blog for a while then you probably know that I lost 90 pounds in 9 months after having my older kids. Maybe you even followed along with my first big weight loss journey, or bought my weight loss ebook. I want to be honest with you, this time around it has been so different and much harder to get back to my old self.
So, here I am, trying to get the rest of this weight off once and for all. I wish I could say there is some magic way to get the weight off, but in my experience it’s been good old hard work that will get it off. Exercise and diet. The only other “magic” thing you need is the right mindset to get it done, and that’s where I’ve failed this time. My head hasn’t been in the right place. Now it is and I am ready to get this show on the road.
Meal Prep Tips and Tricks with Tupperware
There are some things that help me mentally prepare and motivate me to get in shape and to lose weight. Some of the ways that I get myself into the right mindset for weight loss are:
- Buying new exercise/running shoes. There’s honestly nothing that gets me more in the mood to workout than a brand new pair of sneakers. Is this weird? I’m not sure. But dressing for success is always a good rule of thumb, wouldn’t you agree?!
- Fridge clean out – Getting all of the unhealthy food out of the house is a great way to get control of the nutrition situation in my house.
- “Clean” grocery shopping and meal planning – I always make a list of healthy foods that I want to eat and fuel my body with during my weight loss journey. Planning out what I am going to eat gets me excited without feeling deprived.
- Meal prep – This is one of the biggest keys in weight loss success. If I don’t set myself up for success by having healthy, whole foods prepared and ready to go in my fridge, then I am basically setting myself up for failure. Having nutritious food available at my fingertips and in Tupperware makes my life so much easier. I am super busy with 3 little boys and working from home, and I need to make healthy meals as easy as possible (so I don’t steal my kids snacks when I get hungry!).
Something that is helping me meal prep smoothly and simply… Tupperware FridgeSmart® products. This food storage system keeps my fruits and vegetables fresh by controlling airflow and moisture. All I have to do is match the stored food to the container’s produce chart and slide the seal’s vent to adjust the air flow. I love how I can always be ready to meal prep since Tupperware has it all figured out for me!
Additionally, with the Salad On the Go Set, I can simply throw meals in my bag if I have to eat on the go! There’s even a handy Tupperware fork, knife, and small containers for condiments.
With all of these keys for weight loss success I know I am prepared to take on this challenge once again! Stay tuned for my progress and updates.
