Mornings at my house are kind of chaotic with three boys. Everyone needs something, and most mornings I don’t end up eating breakfast. If I do eat breakfast I need super simple recipes that I can prepare in advance so I can just pull them out of the fridge and eat.
One of my favorite easy breakfast recipes is overnight oats with yogurt. This is a delicious breakfast recipe that is easy to prepare in advance, and lasts a few days in the fridge. You can take your overnight oats out of the fridge and eat it without any extra preparation in the morning. Music to my busy mama ears! I can start my day off right with healthy food and power through my busy day ahead.
For this overnight oats recipe I like to use Dannon Whole Milk Plain Yogurt and often switch it up with Dannon Low Fat Vanilla Yogurt. These quart size yogurts can be found at Walmart on the bottom shelf of the yogurt aisle. These Dannon yogurts are an amazing source of Vitamin D, Calcium, and protein, making them an excellent addition to my overnight oats recipe.
Dannon is part of the a certified B Corp community, which I really love about them. Certified B Corporations are leaders of a global movement of people using business as a force for good. They meet the highest standards of overall social and environmental performance, transparency and accountability and aspire to use the power of business to solve social and environmental problems.
I made these overnight oats in a 16oz glass jar, which is the perfect size for this easy breakfast recipe. Ready to get to the recipe? Let’s go!
– 1 cup steel cut oats
– 1/3 cup vanilla oat milk
– 1/3 cup Dannon Whole Milk Plain Yogurt or Dannon Low Fat Vanilla Yogurt
– fresh fruit of your choice (I like to use blueberries, raspberries, or strawberries)
1. Add steel cut oats to your glass jar. Cover with oat milk. Cover and shake to coat the oats.
2. Next, spoon on your Dannon Whole Milk Plain Yogurt or Dannon Low Fat Vanilla Yogurt
3. Top with fresh fruit.
4. Refrigerate overnight and enjoy your delicious overnight oats with yogurt in the morning!
Include this easy overnight oats recipe in your weekly meal prep. You’ll start your morning out full of energy and nutrients, and ready to take on whatever the day brings!
