We recently had the chance to stay at the beautiful Gaylord Palms Orlando hotel. We had been to Gaylord Palms before for their winter spectacular, ICE, but we had never stayed there before. Special thanks to Gaylord Palms for hosting our family for this special stay!
Gaylord Palms recently reopened after closing over the past few months. I wasn’t quite sure what to expect, but I was very pleased with my stay. The hotel was exceptionally clean, as was our room. Masks are mandatory inside of the hotel, as it is an Orange County requirement currently. The security guards at the hotel are doing a good job of making sure guests are properly social distancing and wearing masks.
The most beautiful part of the Gaylord Palms Orlando hotel is the stunning indoor atrium. It’s filled with lush plants, waterfalls, koi fish, and even alligators!! You can catch an alligator show during the day, too. Such a cool feature and oh-so-Floridian.
While at the pool, masks do not need to be worn when you’re swimming or sunning in your pool chair. You can also reserve a cabana or premium pool side seating for an additional fee. So, while I am on the topic of the pool…MY KIDS WERE OBSESSED! They still haven’t stopped talking about the waterslides and water park area at Gaylord Palms Orlando. There’s also an outdoor pool bar, which I took full advantage of!
There’s a large children’s water park area, and there’s also large water slides for older kids and adults. My two older boys were tall enough to ride the larger water slides, which they did over and over and overrrrr again! They keep asking if we can visit again soon because they loved the slides so very much.
Out hotel room itself at Gaylord Palms Orlando was super nice! The bed was extremely comfortable. I loved that there was a fridge in the room, which is always a must when traveling with kids! The boys LOVED the room service. The food was excellent, and we had the best time watching movies while chowing down! These boys lead a really rough life, I tell ya lol
One of the best parts about staying in a room overlooking the atrium is the nightly laser light show! It happens at 8pm and 9pm. There’s music and dancing lights, and the boys (and ME!) loved watching!
We had THE best time! It was a much needed getaway, during such an uncertain time in the world. This staycation was EXACTLY what we needed to have some safe and socially-distanced fun!!
